A new job? April 29, 2007

Well, not really a job, ’cause I don’t get paid, but it is going to be a lot of work.  We have only been attending our church for just over a month since we moved and they have already put me to work — does that surprise anyone?  I’m the girl that can’t sit still for longer than 5 minutes, so I need to be busy. 

 I was quite surprised by the calling extended to me.  Shocked, actually.

I am the new Young Womens President.  I haven’t been in Young Womens since I was one.  It is going to be a blast!

For those that aren’t Mormon, This means I’m in charge of the young women ages 12-17.  I have to make sure they are taught on Sundays and that we have Tuesday night activities every Tuesday.  It is a big job, and I’m excited for it!

My young women are a different bunch than I’m used to.  Just to give you an idea of the love…the morning of our first activity day, two of the girls got into a fist-fight at seminary.  Nice.  I have my work cut out for me!!!!  Wish me luck!!!!

Awww…aren’t we cute?  I woke daddy up so we could open Easter baskets.  Poor daddy had to work the 11-6am shift the night before.  I let him sleep in until 9.

Our new addition… April 21, 2007

So, we have talked about getting a dog for a LONG time, like a couple years.  Well, Saturday after work, Brian comes home and says “I almost got a dog today.”  What????  He went to the SPCA and found this BEAUTIFUL puppy.  So I told him we could go and “look.”  Well, needless to say, I couldn’t leave her there.  She is 6 months old.  She is an Australian Cattle Dog.  The vet thinks she is a purebred.  Anyway, here are some pics!

Hoppy Easter… April 11, 2007

Well, I’m having a hard time uploading pictures for some reason on here.
We had a GREAT Easter. Harrison is hilarious. He wanted to play with everything. The Easter bunny gave him a basket that is a puppy dog. Poor daddy had to go into work at midnight ’cause someone decided they didn’t want to work the night shift even though they were scheduled. Stupid ^%(*&#)(*&%@! Anyway, then Harrison wouldn’t let him sleep past 9. So he crawled up the stairs and stood up right next to Brian’s side of the bed saying “HiDad. Dadadada. HiDad.” So we got up and did the Easter thing and then we spoke in church too. Poor Brian on two hours of sleep. He did really good. Then we spent the afternoon at Brian’s aunt and uncle’s house for dinner.

We had a LOVELY thunderstorm/tornado warning last night. Harrison slept through it.

Everything is going well. I have lots of pictures I want to put up, but it is being stupid…

Well, mommy and daddy thought I needed a haircut.  Mommy LOVED my long hair, but it was getting a little crazy dad said.  So he gave me a haircut this morning.  I did GREAT!  I sat really good through it all.  Here are the pics!!!

So, we were in downtown West Palm Beach a couple weeks ago, and it is SO nice.  I LOVE the big water fountain.  I wanted to crawl in.  Instead…I danced outside of it.  Enjoy the pics!
