This can’t really be happening again? August 23, 2007

So, when I was pregnant with Harrison, some of you will remember we had a lovely trip to the ER around 10 weeks and I was diagnosed with pleurisy.  For those that weren’t reading my blog then or just don’t remember, here is the link to that http://harrisonandmommy.wordpress.com/2005/10/27/a-scare-in-the-hospital/

 Well, last night at about 9:00 after Young Womens, I get home and I start to have a chest pain in the back of my chest.  I think maybe I just picked Harrison up wrong or something.  At 4:00 this morning, it spreads to the front and feels exactly like pleurisy.  I’m 9 weeks now.  I was 10 weeks with Harrison when I had it.  I remember the doctor saying when I was pregnant with Harrison that this may be something caused by hormones in pregnancy and I could probably expect it in each pregnancy.  Lov-ely.  He was right.

 My girlfriend Malinda totally rocks.  She came over tonight and made me a homemade dinner.  It was so nice of her.  And she cleaned up my kitchen too!  Thanks!!! 

 Anyway, Harrison has been SO good for me today.  This morning Brian stayed home and went in a little later than usual and helped with Harrison.  When he left he put Harrison in his playpen with a few Cherrios and some toys and Harrison stayed in there for three hours and let mommy sleep.  Then we played and he had lunch and then he was tired again, so he had a good long nap this afternoon!  Thanks, buddy!

So far it seems better than it was with Harrison.  I was on three weeks’ bed rest with him from this, and I don’t think it is as bad this time.

Well, I’ll keep you updated if this gets better or worse!

Montana…nauseousness…sleepy tired August 14, 2007

Well, we just spent the last week in Montana with my family!  Yea for us!  Well, I spent the whole week, Brian came for a few days, but we’ll take what we can get!  We had a lot of fun going to the lake, shopping and swimming, and played games, which is what we do best!  I miss my family a lot, so it was great to see them all.  I got to see everyone except for one brother-in-law who had to work. 

I flew the red-eye from Montana to Miami, and it was actually okay.  Harrison slept the whole time, but squirmed a lot.  It was a 6-hour flight, and it literally flew by!  My luggage didn’t make it with me, but we survived and I have it now.

I have been WAY more sick with this baby than I ever was with Harrison.  But I know it still doesn’t compare to some of you out there who are super sick.  I ended up with the flu just before I went to Montana, and poor Harrison too.  I went into his room one morning and there was barf EVERYWHERE.  Poor man.  I’m totally showing too with this pregnancy, which is weird because I’m only 7 weeks according to my calculations.  I’m going to the doctor on Thursday for the first time.  I missed my earlier appointment because of the luggage situation.  I just find myself REALLY tired, and it is hard to play with Harrison all day.  He likes to play by himself, but he likes to know I’m watching.  So today he sat at my feet and whined until I went into the play room with him and watched him.  Then he was happy, as long as I was watching. 

Harrison has acquired some new words!  He can say “What’s this?”  “What’s that?” “Ow” and he likes to quack like a duck all day.  It is ADORABLE!  He can also do fishy lips, which is so cute too.  He is very curious, and it is fun to watch him when he doesn’t know you are looking.  He likes to read books to himself and point to the words and the pictures and tell the story.  He likes to sit in my lap first thing in the morning and read me a book.  Then he hands me the book and wants me to read it to him.  He is going to bed at 8:30 and getting up between 10 and 10:30, which is new.  He used to go to bed at 7 or 7:30 and get up at 7 or 7:30.  I think I like the new schedule better, especially being pregnant, I like to sleep in.

I did a photo shoot yesterday called a “trash the dress” shoot, which is exactly that.  You trash the dress.  We went to the beach and had a ball.  Thanks to my friend Malinda and her husband, Evan, for letting me use them as models!  I’m going to post some pics from it! 

Not much else is new here!  Just thought I’d post, since I have needed to.
